I’m also learning to knit and I’m currently trying to rush to finish my second ever project- a baby blanket that has turned out to be WAY bigger than I thought 😅
I’ve made so many mistakes throughout but I’m trying to think of them as a fun little map of my knitting progress. I’ve unraveled too many rows and restarted at this point that I just need to power ahead and finish it

And a schedule sounds like a great idea. My schedule is to try and get a new yt video out on Fridays, post to my ig stories daily, and when I have new art post to all my socials. My first try kinda blew up on SS like nothing I’ve ever done before. 👀 So I figure I’m not off to the worst start.

I know I know, you can do heaps with crochet, definitely where my heart lies! I just do really love the result of knitting especially for sweaters and such and knitting uses less yarn. There's one project I have a certain amount of yarn for (I've capped myself) and I feel I can get it done with knitting, maybe not with crochet ... hmm oh and its bulky yarn and I feel the project wont be as bulky in knit as it would be in crochet haha.

Belated Happy birthday! I love the Brain Spill piece. It may not be as abstract as you thought it is, but it can still be perceived in so many ways. At first look, I thought the subject had unicorns, fairies and rainbows in their mind. I'd like to go in their mind sometime!
The first few things you said is so relatable. I'm 38 too and I also have health issues to deal with. I wish I was 6 years old again. haha.
I'm working on an art piece at the moment which tells a message that people 'belong' and we're all connected. is probably going to take me a year to complete. Really excited about as well!
I like that you proclaim your to-do list in Substack. Almost kind of telling the world this is what you're going to do, and owning it. Hope to read more of your entries in April 18.
